Venlo (best) inner city
Venlo offers ample shopping opportunities! Excellent shops abound in the historic centre – right on the doorstep of Theaterhotel Venlo. Klaasstraat, Gasthuisstraat, Parade and Jodenstraat are home to a host of independent boutiques and quirky shops. The big high-street brands are mainly found in Lomstraat and Vleesstraat. The areas around Nolensplein and Gelderse Poort are famous for being the domain of German bargain hunters. Take a stroll around and immerse yourself in a unique shopping experience! Enjoy a drink and a bite to eat in one of the 120 cafes, bars and restaurants and watch the world go by from your seat on a terrace.
Venlo is also a trade hub and the main shopping magnet for the neighbouring German Ruhr region. The historic centre blends seamlessly into the newly-developed Maasboulevard district – an attractive asset for the town of Venlo that adds to the already rich range of retailers. Pound the pavements for bargains on Maasboulevard then dine overlooking the river Maas. The opening of Maasboulevard gave the centre of Venlo 25 brand new shops, making Venlo justifiably the ‘best inner city 2013-2015’.
